Philosophy
My mission is to create striking, handcrafted wood furniture to be appreciated for its artistry and enduring quality for generations. In my approach to design, I strive to celebrate the life of a tree by carefully selecting its most unusual, interesting pieces and preserving its individuality in a timeless piece of functional art. My work includes dining and accent tables, desks, beds, shelving, and many other types of furniture and decorative functional items. Designs include a variety of styles and mixed media such as live-edge slabs, concrete tops, metal details and bases, glass accents, and quarter-sawn lumber. I utilize many types of locally sourced hardwood, for example, black walnut, figured maple, sycamore, and osage orange.
